Convective showers and thunderstorms give way to a rough cold shot to start next week.  A volatile weather pattern continues.

TODAY

A series of cold fronts will produce scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms through this evening.  The showers and thunderstorms will be capable of brief heavy downpours, small hail, occasional lightning, and wind gusts over 40 mph.  Winds will be from the west at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 40s over the interior to the lower to mid-50s along the coast for highs.

TONIGHT THROUGH TOMORROW

A series of cold fronts will continue to move through the region with isolated showers.  Winds will be from the west at 10 to 20 mph with gusts over 25 mph.  Temperatures will range from the upper 20s t0 lower 30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-40s over the interior and upper 40s to lower 50s along the coast for highs.

MONDAY

High pressure will build into the region with clear skies to scattered clouds.  Winds will be from the west at 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph at times.  Temperatures will range from the mid-10s to lower 20s for lows and mid-20s to lower 30s for highs.

TUESDAY

High pressure will produce clear skies to scattered cloud cover.  Temperatures on Tuesday will range from the mid-10s over the interior to the mid-20s along the coast for lows and upper 30s to lower 40s over the interior and lower to mid-40s along the coast for highs.

WEDNESDAY

An area of low pressure will approach with a warm front producing isolated showers.  Temperatures will range from the upper 10s to mid-20s over the interior and mid to upper 20s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-40s for highs.

THURSDAY

A cold front will follow with scattered showers expected.  Temperatures will range from the mid-30s to lower 40s for lows and upper 50s to mid-60s along the coast, lower to mid-60s over the interior, and upper 60s to mid-70s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

FRIDAY

A series of troughs will pass through the region with scattered clouds and isolated showers.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-40s over the interior and upper 40s to mid-50s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-50s over the interior and upper 50s to lower 60s along the coast for highs.

SATURDAY

High pressure will produce clear skies to scattered cloud cover.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-40s over the interior and upper 40s to lower 50s along the coast for highs.
