Pleasant conditions will continue through tomorrow morning, but a storm over the Plains will bring rain and even some freezing rain to the region by tomorrow evening.

TODAY

High pressure will pass through the region with clear skies to scattered cloud cover.  Winds will be from the west-northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures today will rise into the upper 40s to lower 50s over the interior, lower to mid-50s along the coast, and mid-50s to lower 60s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

TOMORROW

Clouds will increase through the afternoon with showers developing towards evening.  Some periods of freezing rain will be a threat for elevations in the Poconos and Catskills in the evening hours.  Winds will be from the east at 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph at times.  Temperatures will range from the upper 20s to lower 30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-40s over the interior, mid-40s to lower 50s in New York City metro area, and mid-50s to lower 60s in the Philadelphia metro for highs.

THURSDAY

The area of low pressure will lift through the region with periods of rain throughout the morning along with windy conditions.  Scattered clouds with isolated showers are expected in the afternoon.  Winds will veer to the west at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will range from the upper 30s to lower 40s over the interior, lower to mid-40s in the New York City metros, and upper 40s to upper 50s in the Philadelphia metro areas for lows and mid to upper 50s along the coast, lower to mid-60s over the interior, and mid-60s to lower 70s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

A series of troughs will produce scattered to broken cloud cover with isolated showers for much of the region, flurries for the highest elevations.  Temperatures on Friday will range from the lower to mid-40s over the interior and upper 40s to lower 50s along the coast for lows and upper 40s to mid-50s over the interior and upper 50s to lower 60s along the coast for highs.  Temperatures on Saturday will range from the lower to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 40s over the interior and lower to mid-50s along the coast for highs.  Temperatures on Sunday will range from the upper 20s to lower 30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-30s in the Poconos, upper 30s to mid-40s for the rest of the interior, and mid to upper 40s along the coast for highs.

MONDAY AND TUESDAY

High pressure will produce clear skies to scattered cloud cover.  Temperatures on Monday will range from the mid-10s over the interior to the mid-20s along the coast for lows and upper 30s to lower 40s for highs.  Temperatures on Tuesday will range from the mid-10s over the interior to the mid-20s along the coast for lows and upper 30s to lower 40s over the interior and lower to mid-40s along the coast for highs.
