A rather quiet week with up and down temperature swings is ahead. A series of weak low-pressure systems will bring the chance for precipitation and reinforcing cold shots. Brief warm-ups can be expected in between.

Highs will climb into the low-20s to mid-20s for the interior while the coast ranges from the mid-20s to the low-30s. Winds will be from the southeast at 5-10 mph. Lows will drop into the upper-10s to mid-20s while the coast ranges from the mid-20s to low-30s.

Monday: Mostly cloudy skies with a mix of rain and snow showers possible for far eastern locations is expected. Temperatures will rise into the low-30s to mid-30s for highs. Winds will be from the south at 5-10 mph. Lows will fall into the upper-10s to mid-20s for the interior while the coast ranges from the mid-20s to low-30s.

Tuesday: Mostly clear skies and tranquil conditions in the wake of the departing system are expected. A stray flurry can not be ruled out for far northern locations. Highs will rise into the mid-20s to low-30s for the far interior while the coast ranges from the mid-30s to near 40. Winds will be from the west at 10-15 mph. Lows will fall into the upper-10s to mid-20s for the interior while the coast ranges from the upper-20s to low-30s.

Wednesday: A mix of sun and clouds is expected as an area of low-pressure slides to our north. Temperatures will reach into the low-30s to upper-30s for the northern half of the region while the southern half ranges from the upper-30s to mid-40s. Winds will be from the southwest at 5-10 mph. Lows will fall into the low-30s to mid-30s.

Thursday: Intervals of clouds and sun are expected. Some scattered snow showers for the interior can not be ruled out. Temperatures will rise into the mid-30s to near 40 for the interior while the coast ranges from the low-40s to near 50. Winds will be from the west at 15-20 mph. Lows will fall into the upper-10s to mid-20s for highs for the interior while the coast ranges from the low-20s to near 30.

Friday: Skies will remain mostly cloudy as another area of low pressure approaches the region. Some snow showers are possible overnight for northern locations. Highs will range from the mid-20s to low-30s for the interior while the coast ranges from the mid-30s to upper-30s. Winds will be from the southwest at 5-10 mph. Lows will also remain in the mid-20s to low-30s for the interior and mid-30s to upper-30s for the coast.

Weekend: A mix of sun and clouds with the chance of scattered rain and snow showers are expected.
