Cold and dry conditions will be in place for much of the weekend, but a few snow showers are a threat tomorrow evening.  A storm threat will fester for next weekend.

TODAY

High pressure will produce clear skies to scattered clouds.  Winds will be from the north at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-20s over the interior and upper 20s to lower 30s along the coast for highs.

TONIGHT

High pressure will exit with scattered clouds.  Winds will veer to the southwest at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the lower to mid-10s over the interior and upper 10s to lower 20s along the coast for lows.

TOMORROW

An area of low pressure will approach the region with increasing clouds throughout the day.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 20s over the interior and lower to mid-30s along the coast for highs.

TOMORROW NIGHT

An area of low pressure will pass through the region with a few snow showers and flurries.  Snow accumulation of a dusting to an inch will be possible in a few snow showers.  Winds will veer to the west at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the single digits below zero over the interior and to the lower 20s along the coast for lows.

MONDAY

High pressure will produce clear skies to scattered cloud cover.  Winds will be light and variable.  Temperatures will rise into the mid-20s over the interior and upper 20s to lower 30s along the coast for highs.

TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY

An area of low pressure and a strong cold front will produce scattered rain and snow showers on Tuesday and snow showers on Wednesday morning.  Skies will clear towards Wednesday afternoon. Temperatures on Tuesday will range from the mid to upper 20s over the interior and lower to mid-30s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast for highs.  Temperatures on Wednesday will range from the single digits to mid-10s over the interior and upper 10s to lower 20s along the coast for lows and mid-10s to lower 20s over the interior and mid to upper 20s along the coast for highs.

THURSDAY AND FRIDAY

High pressure will produce clear skies to scattered cloud cover.  Temperatures on Thursday will range from the teens below zero to the single digits for lows and single digits to lower 10s over the interior and mid-10s to lower 20s along the coast for highs.  Temperatures on Friday will range from the single digits to lower 10s over the interior and mid to upper 10s along the coast for lows and upper 20s to lower 30s over the interior and lower to mid-30s along the coast for highs.

SATURDAY

An area of low pressure will organize off the coast and produce scattered snow showers.  There is potential the low-pressure system could be closer to the coast and thus produce more significant snowfall.  Volatility in the forecast is high for this period.  Temperatures will range from the single digits to mid-10s over the interior and upper 10s to lower 20s along the coast for lows and mid-10s to lower 20s over the interior and mid-20s to lower 30s along the coast for highs.
