High pressure will build into the region with clearing skies and winds from the north at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the single digits below zero over the interior and single digits to mid-10s along the coast for lows.

SATURDAY

An area of low pressure will intensify well east of the region with scattered cloud cover for most of the area and a period of light snow over extreme southern New Jersey in the early morning hours.  A light snowfall accumulation is expected around 2″.  Any further shift of the storm track to the east will result in no impacts for southern New Jersey.  Winds will be from the north at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures will range from the teens below zero to the single digits over the interior and single digits to mid-10s along the coast for lows and upper 10s to lower 20s over the interior and mid to upper 20s along the coast for highs.
