An arctic front will bring snow to the region for tomorrow morning’s rush hour.  Another threat is possible this weekend for southern and central New Jersey.

TODAY

High pressure will exit the region while a warm front passes to the north with scattered to broken clouds and an isolated shower is possible.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-40s for highs.

TONIGHT

A cold front will approach the region with increasing clouds and a mix of rain and snow showers along the coast and snow showers over the interior towards morning.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the lower to mid-20s over the interior and upper 20s to mid-30s along the coast for lows.

TOMORROW

The arctic cold front will move through the region in the morning with flurries over the interior and a mix of rain and snow mixing over to snow.  Snow impacts can be seen on the map below with the primary concern being slick roadways and poor visibility for the morning rush hour.  Winds will veer to the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise slightly into the mid-20s to lower 30s over the interior and mid-30s to lower 40s along the coast for morning highs.  Temperatures will fall through the 30s and 20s after the cold front passage.

FRIDAY

High pressure will produce clear skies to scattered cloud cover.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures will range from the teens below zero to the single digits for lows and lower to mid-10s over the interior and upper 10s to lower 20s along the coast for highs.

SATURDAY

An area of low pressure will pass off the Mid Atlantic coast with a threat for flurries over the interior, scattered snow showers for the I-95 corridor, and steady snowfall for southern Long Island, central New Jersey, and southern New Jersey in the morning hours.  Clearing skies are expected in the afternoon and evening.  The track of the storm remains uncertain and a shift to the east or west would have significant impacts on snowfall potential.  Temperatures will range from the teens below zero to the single digits over the interior and lower to mid-10s along the coast for lows and upper 10s to lower 20s over the interior and mid-20s to lower 30s along the coast for highs.

SUNDAY

Scattered clouds are expected with a few flurries possible.  Temperatures will range from the single digits to lower 10s over the interior and lower to mid-10s along the coast for lows and upper 10s to lower 20s over the interior and lower to mid-20s along the coast for highs.

MONDAY

High pressure will produce clear skies to scattered cloud cover.  Temperatures will range from the single digits below zero to the mid-10s for lows and mid to upper 10s over the interior and lower to mid-20s along the coast for highs.

TUESDAY
