A cool Fall weather pattern is in place today but a gradual warm-up is expected towards the end of the week.  Another strong cold front is expected for next weekend.

TODAY

A series of troughs will pass through the region with scattered clouds and a few isolated showers, especially in the Poconos and Catskills.  Winds will be from the west at 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph at times.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-50s over the interior and upper 50s to lower 60s along the coast for highs.

TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY

High pressure will be in control with clear skies to scattered cloud cover.  Winds will be from the west-southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures tomorrow will range from the upper 30s to lower 40s over the interior and mid to upper 40s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-60s for highs. Temperatures on Wednesday will range from the mid to upper 40s over the interior and lower to mid-50s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 60s over the interior and lower to mid-70s along the coast for highs.

THURSDAY AND FRIDAY

High pressure will exit off the coast with increasing cloud cover.  Temperatures on Thursday will range from the lower to mid-50s for lows and lower to mid-70s for highs.  Temperatures on Friday will range from the upper 40s to lower 50s over the interior and mid to upper 50s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-60s over the interior and upper 60s to lower 70s along the coast for highs.

FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY

A cold front with a wave of low pressure will produce periods of showers.  Temperatures on Saturday will range from the upper 40s to lower 50s over the interior and mid to upper 50s along the coast for lows and upper 50s to lower 60s over the interior, lower to mid-60s along the coast, and mid to upper 60s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

SUNDAY AND MONDAY

High pressure will build into the region with scattered cloud cover and a few isolated showers.  Temperatures on Sunday will range from the upper 30s to lower 40s over the interior and mid to upper along the coast for lows and mid to upper 50s over the interior and lower to mid-60s along the coast for highs.  Temperatures on Monday will range from the mid-30s to lower 40s over the interior and mid to upper 40s along the coast for lows and upper 40s to lower 50s over the interior and mid to upper 50s along the coast for highs.
