Quite the unsettled week ahead of us as a frontal boundary lingers around the region, providing clouds and showers. The remnants of tropical storm Fred could provide some more enhanced shower activity by midweek. Heat and humidity will rebound to more summer-like conditions as we head into the weekend.

Sunday: A much more comfortable day is in store after the passage of the cold front last night, knocking the humidity down. A mix of clouds and sun is expected with high temperatures in the upper 70s to mid 80s region-wide. Winds will be from the NW at 5-10 mph. Overnight lows will range from the low 60s to near 70.

Monday: Mostly cloudy skies with widely scattered showers are expected with high temperatures in the upper 70s to mid-80s region-wide. Winds will be from the E at 5-10 mph. Overnight lows will range from the low 60s to near 70.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy skies with widely scattered showers are expected with high temperatures in the mid-70s to low 80s region-wide. Winds will be from the SE at 5-10 mph. Overnight lows will range from the mid-60s to the lower 70s.

Wednesday: Another dreary day is on tap with cloudy skies and more concentrated showers thanks to the remnants of Fred. High temperatures will be in the upper 70s to mid-80s region-wide. Winds will be from the SE at 5-10 mph. Overnight lows will range from the mid-60s to the low 70s.

Thursday: The remnants of Fred will clear the area but mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers are expected in its wake. High temperatures in the upper 70s to mid-80s region-wide. Winds will be from the SE at 5-10 mph. Overnight lows will range from the mid-60s to the low 70s.

Friday: Intervals of clouds and sun are expected with high temperatures in the low 80s to upper 80s region-wide. A stray shower can not be ruled out. Winds will be from the E at 5-10 mph. Overnight lows will range from the mid-60s to the low 70s.

Weekend: Temperatures and humidity will make a small rebound but will be nothing like last week. High temperatures will range from the low to the upper 80s. Southern locations could reach the low 90s. Partly cloudy skies with the chance of afternoon thunderstorms can be expected. Winds will be from the SE at 5-10 mph. Overnight lows will range from the mid-60s to the low 70s.
