An isolated pesky shower is a threat this afternoon followed by a build-up to hot and humid conditions by the end of the week.

A trough will pass through the region this afternoon with scattered clouds and isolated showers.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the upper 60s to lower 70s over the interior, lower to mid-70s on the coast, and mid to upper 70s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

High pressure will be in control tonight through Wednesday with clear skies to scattered cloud cover.  Some morning fog will be a threat for a few locations.  Winds will be light and variable.  Temperatures tomorrow will range from the lower to mid-50s for lows and lower to mid-70s over the interior, mid to upper 70s on the coast, and upper 70s to lower 80s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.  Temperatures on Wednesday will range from the upper 40s to mid-50s for lows and upper 70s to lower 80s over the interior, lower to mid-80s on the coast, and mid to upper 80s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

High pressure will pass over the region Thursday through Saturday with clear skies to scattered cloud cover with locally dense fog in the morning hours.  Temperatures on Thursday will range from the mid to upper 50s for lows and upper 70s to lower 80s over the interior, lower to mid-80s on the coast, and mid-80s to lower 90s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.  Temperatures on Friday will range from the lower to mid-60s for lows and mid-80s to lower 90s over the interior, lower to mid-80s on the coast, and upper 80s to mid-90s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.  Temperatures on Saturday will range from the lower to mid-60s over the interior and mid-60s to lower 70s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-80s over the interior, mid to upper 80s along the coast, and upper 80s to lower 90s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

A cold front will slowly press south on Sunday with isolated showers and thunderstorms over the interior and scattered clouds for the rest of the region.  Locally dense fog will be a threat in the morning hours.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-60s over the interior and mid-60s to lower 70s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-80s over the interior, mid to upper 80s along the coast, and upper 80s to lower 90s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

A cold front will push to the south and southwest on Monday with periods of showers.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-60s over the interior and New York City metropolitan area and mid-60s to lower 70s in the Philadelphia metropolitan area for lows and mid-60s to lower 70s over the interior and New York City metropolitan area and mid-70s to lower 80s in the Philadelphia metropolitan areas for highs.
