Tranquil conditions today will give way to periods of rain, and a bit of snow, through this weekend.  Some areas of urban flooding will be a threat.

High pressure will pass over the region with scattered clouds expected.  Winds will veer from the northwest to northeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the upper 30s to lower 40s for highs this afternoon.

An area of low pressure will approach tonight with rain developing along the coast and light snow over the interior.  The snow will quickly change over to rain, but a trace to 2″ of snow will be possible before the change over to rain.  Skies will clear in the late afternoon and evening.  Winds will be from the southeast at 5 to 15 mph over the interior and 10 to 20 mph along the coast.  Temperatures tomorrow will range from the upper 20s to lower 30s over the interior and mid-30s along the coast for lows and mid-40s over the interior and upper 40s to lower 50s along the coast for highs.

Another area of low pressure will move through the region on Sunday with periods of rain in the late morning through the evening.  The rain will be heavy at times, especially along the coast.  Winds will be from the east at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures on Sunday will range from the mid to upper 20s over the interior and lower to mid-30s along the coast for lows and upper 30s over the interior and lower to mid-40s along the coast for highs.

High pressure will be in control on Monday and Tuesday with clear skies to scattered clouds.  Temperatures on Monday will range from the mid-30s to lower 40s for lows and lower to mid-40s over the interior and upper 40s to lower 50s along the coast for highs.  Temperatures on Tuesday will range from the single digits to the mid-10s over the interior and upper 10s to lower 20s along the coast for lows and mid-20s over the interior and upper 20s to lower 30s along the coast for highs.

An area of low pressure will approach on Wednesday with increasing clouds throughout the day.  Snow showers will develop in the evening for higher elevations and rain showers along the coast.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 10s over the interior and lower to mid-20s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 30s over the interior and lower to mid-40s along the coast for highs.

An area of low pressure will pass through the region on Thursday with snow change to rain over higher elevations and rain along the coast.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s along the coast for lows and mid-40s over the interior and upper 40s to lower 50s along the coast for highs.

High pressure will produce clear skies to scattered clouds on Friday.  Temperatures will range from the upper 20s to mid-30s for lows and lower to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to mid-40s along the coast for highs.
