Hello everyone! My name is Michael Browne and I am currently a senior at SUNY Oswego majoring in Meteorology. I’ve lived my whole life on Long Island in North Massapequa, New York, and have had an interest in weather since I was young! I’ve always loved watching thunderstorms form during the summer and enjoy when a big snowstorm rolls through in the winter! Hobbies of mine include swimming and running, which I did throughout middle school and high school. Other interests of mine include biking, hiking, and skiing.
Going to college at SUNY Oswego has given me a great opportunity to experience the cold and snowy winters I love while learning about meteorology! I am grateful for my family, friends, and professors that have allowed me to have a great college experience so far.
With only one semester left before graduating, I’m hoping that this experience will prepare me for my life ahead in the field of meteorology! Having the opportunity to intern for Mr. DiMartino is something I am very thankful and excited for. I look forward to growing as a forecaster and broadening my understanding of the atmosphere.
I will begin helping by providing forecast discussions every Sunday starting January 17th.
