As high-pressure exits today, clouds will be on the increase.  Showers will be a threat through the weekend.  An active weather pattern continues into next week with a potential winter storm.

High pressure will exit today with clouds slowly increasing through the day.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the upper 40s to lower 50s for highs this afternoon.

A warm front will approach tomorrow morning with isolated to widely scattered showers in the afternoon and evening.  Winds will be from the southeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures tomorrow will range from the upper 30s to lower 40s for lows and upper 40s to mid-50s for highs.

A cold front will follow on Sunday with isolated to widely scattered showers in the morning through early afternoon followed by clearing skies in the evening.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures on Sunday will range from the lower to mid-40s over the interior and upper 40s to lower 50s along the coast for lows and mid-40s to lower 50s over the interior and mid to upper 50s along the coast for highs.

An area of low pressure will pass through the region on Monday with a mix of rain and snow showers along the coast and scattered snow showers over the interior.  Snow accumulation of a trace to 1″ will be possible on cold surfaces for elevations above 700 feet.  Temperatures on Monday will range from the lower to mid-30s for lows and mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast for highs.

High pressure will be in control on Tuesday with clear skies to scattered clouds.  Temperatures on Tuesday will range from the lower to mid-20s over the interior and upper 20s to lower 30s along the coast for lows and upper 20s to lower 30s over the interior and lower to mid-30s along the coast for highs.

An area of low pressure will produce a wintry mix throughout the region in the afternoon and evening hours on Wednesday.  Snow can be expected over the interior and a mix of snow, sleet, and rain along the coast.   Temperatures on Wednesday will range from the upper 10s the to the lower 20s over the interior and mid to upper 20s along the coast for lows and mid-20s to lower 30s over the interior and mid-30s to lower 40s along the coast for highs.

The area of low pressure will depart on Thursday with lingering snow showers.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-20s for lows and lower to mid-30s for highs.

High pressure will be in control on Friday with scattered clouds.  Temperatures on Friday will range from the mid-10s to lower 20s over the interior and mid to upper 20s along the coast for lows and upper 20s to mid-30s for highs.
