Arctic Blast In Place Through Tomorrow

The arctic blast that will be in place through tomorrow is a reminder that we are still in winter, but the chill won’t last for long.  More rain on the way next week.

A weak cold front will exit this morning with scattered clouds and a few flurries this morning followed by clearing skies.  Winds will veer to the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will hold in the mid to upper 20s over the interior and lower to mid-30s along the coast for highs through this afternoon.

High pressure will pass over the region tomorrow with clear skies to scattered cloud cover.  Winds will be light and variable.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-10s for lows and upper 20s to lower 30s for highs.

High pressure will exit on Sunday with clear skies to scattered cloud cover.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures will range from the mid-20s to lower 30s for lows and mid to upper 40s for highs.

High pressure will linger off the coast on Monday with increasing clouds throughout the day.  Temperatures on Monday will range from the upper 20s to lower 30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast for lows and upper 40s to mid-50s for highs.

An area of low pressure and cold front will approach the region on Tuesday with periods of showers, heavy at times, by the afternoon hours.  The cold front will exit on Wednesday morning with lingering showers followed by clearing skies.  Temperatures on Tuesday will range from the upper 20s to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-50s over the interior and mid-50s to lower 60s along the coast for highs.  Temperatures on Wednesday will range from the lower to mid-30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast for lows and upper 30s to mid-40s for highs.

High pressure will build into the region on Thursday with clearing skies.  Temperatures on Thursday will range from the upper 10s to mid-20s for lows and mid-20s to lower 30s for highs.
