An active weather pattern will be in place through much of this week with a constant threat for showers and some frozen precipitation for higher elevations.

A cold front and waves of low pressure will slowly move through the region today on through tomorrow with periods of showers.  Winds will back from the southwest to the west at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures today will rise into the upper 30s to lower 40s over the interior and mid to upper 40s along the coast.  Temperatures tomorrow will range from the mid to upper 30s over the interior and lower to mid-40s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-40s over the interior and upper 40s to mid-50s along the coast for highs.

High pressure will be in control with clearing skies tomorrow night through Wednesday.  Winds will be light and variable.  Temperatures on Wednesday will range from the upper 20s to mid-30s for lows and lower to mid-40s for highs.

Another area of low pressure will approach on Thursday with a wintry mix change over to rain for higher elevations and rain along the coast.  Minor snow accumulation up to 3″ will be possible for the Poconos and Catskills before a change over to rain.  Temperatures on Thursday will range from the lower to mid-30s over the interior upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-50s over the interior and upper 50s to lower 60s along the coast for highs.

High pressure will be in place Friday on through Sunday with scattered clouds and an isolated flurry in the morning hours.  Temperatures on Friday will range from the upper 20s to lower 30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast for lows and upper 30s to mid-40s for highs.  Temperatures on Saturday will range from the mid to upper 10s over the interior and lower to mid-20s along the coast for lows and mid-30s to lower 40s for highs.  Temperatures on Sunday will range from the mid-20s to lower 30s for lows and upper 30s to mid-40s for highs.
