As the storm from yesterday lifts into the Gulf of Maine, cold air is invading the region and scattered rain and snow showers will remain a threat through this evening.

Waves of troughs will rotate through the region with scattered clouds and scattered rain and snow showers.  Winds will be from the northwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts over 30 mph.  Temperatures will hold in the upper 30s to lower 40s and then fall through the 30s and 20s.

High pressure will build into the region tonight through tomorrow with clear skies to scattered cloud cover.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures tomorrow will range from the mid-10s to lower 20s for lows and mid-20s to lower 30s for highs.

High pressure will be in control on Tuesday with clear skies to scattered clouds.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures on Tuesday will range from the mid to upper 10s for lows and lower to mid-30s for highs.

High pressure will pass over and exit the region on Wednesday through Friday with clear skies to scattered cloud cover.  Temperatures on Wednesday will range from the upper 10s to the lower 20s for lows and upper 30s to lower 40s for highs.  Temperatures on Thursday will range from the lower to mid-20s for lows and lower to mid-40s for highs.  Temperatures on Friday will range from the lower to mid-20s for lows and mid to upper 40s for highs.

An area of low pressure will produce periods of heavy rain along the coast and a wintery mix over the interior.  Temperatures on Saturday will range from the upper 20s to lower 30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-30s over the interior, upper 30s to mid-40s in the New York City metro, and mid to upper 40s in the Philadelphia metropolitan area for highs.
