Warm And Tranquil For Veterans Day

Warm and tranquil conditions will be in place for this Veterans Day, but a powerful cold front tomorrow will bring an arctic blast and even some snow down to the coast.

High pressure will continue to exit into the Atlantic Ocean today with increasing clouds through this evening.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the upper 50’s to lower 60’s for highs today.

A powerful cold front will move through the region tomorrow morning with periods of rain.  The rain will mix over to snow in the late morning and early afternoon hours with some minor accumulations of a trace to 1″ throughout the region.  The precipitation will exit in the afternoon with clearing skies towards the evening.  Winds will veer to the northwest at 10 to 20 mph.  High temperatures will be in the early morning hours ahead of the cold front in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s over the interior and upper 40’s to mid 50’s along the coast.  Temperatures will then free-fall into the 30’s and 20’s towards the evening.

High pressure will build into the region tomorrow night through Wednesday with clearing skies.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures on Wednesday will range from the upper 10’s to mid 20’s for lows and upper 20’s to mid 30’s for highs.

High pressure will pass over the region on Thursday and Friday with scattered clouds expected.  Temperatures on Thursday will range from the upper 10’s to lower 20’s for lows and mid to upper 30’s over the interior and lower to mid 40’s along the coast for highs.  Temperatures on Friday will range from the mid 20’s to lower 30’s over the interior and lower to mid 30’s along the coast for lows and upper 40’s to mid 50’s for highs.

A cold front will follow on Saturday morning with scattered clouds.  Temperatures on Saturday will range from the upper 10’s to mid 20’s for lows and lower to mid 30’s over the interior and upper 30’s to lower 40’s along the coast for highs.

An area of low pressure will approach from the south with increasing clouds and rain towards the evening.  Temperatures on Sunday will range from the mid 10’s to mid 20’s over the interior and upper 20’s to mid 30’s along the coast for lows and mid 30’s to lower 40’s over the interior and mid 40’s to lower 50’s along the coast for highs.
