Rain Expected to Finish Out Father’s Day Weekend

8:36 AM
Good morning and happy Father’s Day to all the past, present, and future daddies out there!  While rain is unfortunately on the way again today, I can at least promise most of you a pleasant morning and early afternoon.  You can enjoy scattered cloud cover and dry, tranquil conditions.  Temperatures will be above average this afternoon, rising into the mid to upper 80’s.  It will also be very humid, with dew points rising to the 70 degree mark.  Winds will be out of the south at 5-15 mph.  As low pressure approaches from the west, there will be increasing chances for showers and thunderstorms as the day progresses, with the greatest chance this evening into early tonight.  Perhaps most unfortunate of all will be the threat for heavy rainfall yet again.  Isolated showers and storms will stick around overnight, with otherwise mostly cloudy conditions.  Lows will be very mild, falling into the lower to mid 70’s.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will remain a threat for our Monday as a cold front approaches and crosses through the region.  Heavy rainfall will again be possible with any shower or storm.  Winds will be out of the southwest at 10-20 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid 80’s for highs and then fall into the mid to upper 60’s for lows.
A very unsettled weather pattern will remain in place through much of next week, with the chance for showers and thunderstorms each day.  Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy in between.  Temperatures will range from the lower to upper 80’s for highs to the mid 60’s to lower 70’s for lows.
