Snow fall forecast for February 3, 2014

Due to recent radar trends of a more dynamic precipitation shield, observations from satellite data, and the progression of the cold air at the surface and 850 MB; the following adjustments have been made to the snowfall forecast to reflect the latest trends.

The forecast is highly dependent on the ability for cold air to continue to filter into the region and for lifting to remain as strong or stronger than what is currently being observed on the satellite pictures.  There is a high bust potential, especially on the high end of the forecast.  There is a high likelihood that most locations linger at 1 to 4 inches as much of the snow may melt on the surface before accumulating
