Perfect weather conditions won’t last long

11/22/12  9:40 AM

High pressure will provide excellent weather conditions for your Thanksgiving holiday and the shopping insanity known as Black Friday thereafter.

Scattered cloud cover is expected today on through tomorrow with very warm conditions in place.  Winds will be from the west at 5 mph while temperatures will continue to be well above normal.  Temperatures today through tomorrow will range from the lower to mid 50’s over the interior, mid to upper 50’s along the coast for highs and mid to upper 30’s over the interior and lower to mid 40’s along the coast for lows.

A strong cold front will move through the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas tomorrow night into Saturday morning with variable cloud cover and an isolated shower possible.  Winds will shift to the northwest at 5 to 10 mph while much colder temperatures can be expected.  Temperatures will fall into the mid to upper 30’s for lows on Saturday morning and rebound into lower to mid 40’s for highs on Saturday afternoon.

High pressure will be in complete control Sunday through Tuesday with scattered cloud cover and near normal temperatures.  An area of low pressure will approach by Wednesday with periods of rain and/or snow.  The track of this storm remains uncertain but the threat does exist for accumulating snowfall for some locations over the interior.  Temperatures will range from the upper 20’s to lower 30’s over the interior and lower to mi 30’s along the coast for lows and lower to mid 40’s for highs.
