Hurricane Kirk is a large storm with well-established outflow circulation and strong convection around the low-level circulation.  Kirk’s structure is vertically stacked and continues to grow in size.  Kirk will continue to intensify over the next 24 hours which will support category four strength by tomorrow evening.  A trough moving into the central Atlantic will cause Kirk to turn to the north and increase vertical wind shear by this weekend.  As a result, Kirk will lift into the northeastern Atlantic and steadily weaken.  The storm will become extratropical by early next week.
