4/19/14: Here’s a look at which locations hit 100 or more inches of snow this season through April 18th. Snow season runs July to June so technically with 10 weeks left these locations could still get more snow. Oddly (or maybe not) enough the only one in the club that’s actually below normal is Marquette, Michigan. Normally they have 198 inches to date. They “only” have 188″.
Second place is Caribou Maine being 40 inches above normal! They gotten 42 inches in March alone which was 2 feet above March normal.
Syracuse is just 9 inches above normal on the season.
Billings, Montana takes the cake for having the most snow above normal. They normally have 50.4″ at this point yet they have a record breaking season total of 101.4″ so far. Over 4 feet above normal!
I plan on doing a final look for the Northeast Sites soon. It was an amazing snow season with many areas not only making Top 10 snowiest seasons but some actually having the snowiest season on record for 2013-14. Not to forget the record amount of Ice on the Great Lakes.
